City Attorney

The Office of the City Attorney serves as the legal counsel for the City of Tuscaloosa. The office advises City officials, departments, boards, and commissions on a broad range of legal matters and reviews all contracts, agreements, and formal legal relationships.

In addition to providing legal guidance, the Office of the City Attorney ensures the City’s compliance with federal and state laws, interprets and applies the Municipal Code, and oversees the drafting, review, and implementation of City ordinances and resolutions.
