Office of the City Engineer
The Engineering division of the city is responsible for capital project management from conception to completion. Other responsibilities include project design, assessment of infrastructure deficiencies and making corresponding recommendations, roadway safety, pedestrian, and ADA studies and recommendations, Stormwater Management and Floodplain Management, land surveys, operational engineering support, and construction inspection. From a private development standpoint, the Engineering division helps developers navigate the process, review and approve Land Development Permits, Water Distribution System Permits and subdivision plats, review development impacts, and issue right of way, utility, and sewer permits.
