District 3 City Councilor Richard Henry Sworn Into Office

Following last week’s District 3 special election, Councilor-elect Richard Henry was officially sworn into office on Tuesday, April 21, at 1:15 p.m.

Richard Henry is a lifelong Tuscaloosa resident and a proud graduate of Central High School and Auburn University. As the owner of Right Space Commercial Real Estate, Henry has spent nearly 20 years working in commercial real estate and supporting local businesses throughout the Tuscaloosa area.

Henry’s community involvement includes serving as President of the Tuscaloosa Association of Realtors, President of the Home Builders Association of Tuscaloosa and as an elder at First Presbyterian Church. He currently serves as President of the Black Warrior Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Henry is a proud husband to Jana and father to Sally and Thomas.

“I am confident that Richard Henry will be a great addition to our City Council,” said Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox. “With his business experience and vision for District 3, I am excited to see all that he accomplishes.”

Councilor Henry will serve the remainder of the current term alongside the sitting members of the City Council.
